The Position

247Solar is seeking an experience procurement executive to augment our global supply chain
management and contracting organization. This position reports to the Chief Product Officer.

Responsibilities

The VP Procurement will be responsible for the following:

• Deliver cost reductions through deep collaboration with suppliers
  o Negotiate volume-based pricing agreements and multi-year commercial terms that
  achieve sustainable cost reductions
  o Lead execution of sourcing strategies that aggregate spend
  o Build structured innovation channels with key suppliers to identify opportunities in
  tooling, materials, and process design
  o Drive co-nvestment initiatives that reduce cost and improve manufacturability
  o Negotiate long-term partnership structures that support shared investment,
  transparency, and continuous improvement
• Lead 247Solar procurement activities in support of project execution
  o Manage supplier relationships, solicit bids, and negotiate awards
  o Optimize strategy for and lead terms negotiation, including cost, technical and
  operational support, compliance, and all other general terms and conditions
  o Lead back-to-back terms and conditions that align with offtake / customer terms
  o Develop and drive global compliance through purchasing policy and controls
  o Collaborate with legal team to identify and ensure timely receipt of applicable
  import and export licenses to support 247Solar global pipeline
  o Collaborate across 247Solar global team to identify and qualify new suppliers,
  negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
• Ensure procured equipment delivery to site on time, on budget, and to spec
  o Collaborate across 247Solar team to proactively define clear and accurate scope
  boundaries, ownership, and risk
  o Lead supplier performance management, and proactively identify and address
  issues including escalation where needed to ensure delivery
  o Drive supplier excellence via contract terms, process improvements, and best practices
  o Provide real-time market feedback on cost shifts, schedule impacts, and supplier performance
  o Coordinate with 247Solar team on logistics services for shipment from suppliers to site
  o Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and industry standards, and with all applicable duties, tariffs, etc
• Support Chief Product Officer and full 247Solar team on key initiatives as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in business, economics, finance, supply chain management, engineering, or related discipline, with preference for MBA or executive certifications
• 10+ years procurement and supply chain management experience, with preference for experience in the energy industry, with a global supply chain including India and China, and serving a global project pipeline
• Deep knowledge and demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing of at least three of: CSP system components, TES system components, turbines, specialty ceramics, superalloy precision metalwork
• Strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive value
• Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate supply chain risks
• Demonstrated ability to achieve project cost and schedule targets for procurement
• Extremely agile and able to quickly deliver contracts and purchase orders that meet project requirements and support business profitability
• Working knowledge of contract administration and law
• Demonstrated strength working cross-functionally to drive issue resolution
• Desire to work in a growing, dynamic environment with player-coach management style\
• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

The chosen candidate can work from anywhere. Salary will be commensurate with local salary ranges for comparable positions. As a senior team member of an early-stage company, the salary portion of compensation may not meet large-company levels. However, the base salary is competitive, and the Vice President, Procurement will be rewarded on the basis of the company’s future success and increased value in the form of a stock option plan.
