Great Falls, Virginia, USA, — 247Solar welcomes accomplished strategy and technology development executive Kristen Griffin, PhD, to the company’s growing senior leadership team. In her role as Chief Product Officer, Kristen will further strengthen and grow the global supply chain for 247Solar’s factory-produced solutions for day-and-night zero carbon electricity and industrial grade heat. Kristen will also accelerate the Company’s drive to reduce the cost of its systems to support product development and spur sales.
Previously, Kristen led Solar & Storage Product Management for EDF Renewables. There, she was responsible for developing and advancing the solar and storage product strategies, for leading product competitiveness, and for industrializing new products within her portfolio.
In an earlier role, Kristen led Innovation & Technology Commercialization, in which role she set EDF Renewables’ technology strategy and priorities, matured and de-risked new technologies for insertion into renewable energy projects, and managed all new product lines, including hydrogen and long-duration storage.
Kristen has led Innovation and Product Management portfolios for business units up to $2B in size, with demonstrated results in product turnaround, multiple successful product launches, and aligning product capabilities and pricing to meet emerging customer needs.

Kristen holds a doctorate in astrophysics from the University of California at Berkeley. She has a rigorous technical and engineering background including 5 prestigious academic awards and over 40 peer-reviewed technical publications.
