Green hydrogen is the ideal replacement for today’s fossil fuels, yet green hydrogen currently accounts for less than 1 percent of all hydrogen produced. Most of today’s hydrogen is made using dirty processes. For hydrogen to be called truly green, its production must be powered by renewable sources using a process, like electrolysis, that produces zero emissions.

Green hydrogen is produced by electrolysis—a process that produces hydrogen from water. The challenge is that producing large amounts of hydrogen in this way requires expensive equipment that must operate 24/7 to be economical. Enter 247Solar Plants™:

EXAMPLE

247Solar is partnering with one of the world’s largest industrial gas suppliers to develop a turnkey system to produce the world’s lowest cost green hydrogen using our 247Solar Plant™. Project will design and build a pilot facility that integrates the electrical and thermal outputs from a 247Solar Plant with a high-efficiency Solid Oxide Electrolysis (LT SOEL) system.
